Summary

Chromodomain-Y-like (Cdyl) protein functions as a transcriptional co-repressor by binding histone deacetylases (HDACs). During spermiogenesis, Cdyl may bind coenzyme A (CoA) for chromatin remodeling when HDACs are degraded.
