Summary

Interferon-alpha therapy for human T-lymphotropic virus type 1 (HTLV-1)-associated myelopathy/tropical spastic paraparesis (HAM/TSP) reduced CD4+ T cells in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF). Natural killer (NK) and other T cell subsets in CSF remained unchanged.
