Clear cell sarcoma (CCS) cells express the melanocyte-specific microphthalmia-associated transcription factor (Mitf-M). However, the EWS/ATF1 oncogene does not directly activate the Mitf-M promoter in CCS cells.

- Clear cell sarcoma (CCS) is characterized by the EWS/ATF1 oncogene, a fusion of the Ewings Sarcoma oncogene (EWS) and ATF1.
