Summary

A novel bacterial antistressor, 2-methyl-butan-1,2,3,4,-tetraol-2,4-cyclopyrophosphate, was identified in Brevibacterium ammoniagenes. This compound accumulates under oxidative stress, suggesting its role in bacterial stress response.
