Abstract:
Major change in the prognosis of osteosarcoma has been made over the past two decades. The survival rate is over 80%, each case must be investigated by modern methods and classified according to the Enneking classification. Biopsy techniques must be very precise. Chemotherapy could be administered prior to surgery and modified according to the response to the agent used. It could be also given post operatively. Surgery of the extremity should be conservative when the local and general condition is permissible.
