Summary

Vasodilators papaverine and dipyridamole decrease hemoglobin oxygen affinity in vitro, while nifedipine increases it. However, these effects were not observed in angina patients treated with these drugs.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To investigate the in vitro effects of various vasodilators on human hemoglobin's oxygen binding.
