Abstract:
The use of psychotropic drugs in the treatment of social phobia has occurred only recently. The author reviews the available studies which suggest that medications in the beta-blocker group, the monoamine oxidase inhibitors, the benzodiazepines, and possibly others are useful in the treatment of social phobia.
