[Evolution of enterobiasis demonstrated by the action of active and passive detection with a (modified) NIH method in
Abstract:
The incidence of enterobiosis in the infantile population of Oradea was followed up by a modified NIH laboratory method. Active detection revealed an incidence of a latent state of enterobiosis of 21.9% in 1970, which fell to 3.9% in 1973. By passive detection, enterobiosis was found to decrease from 22.6% in 1970 to 16.1% in 1973, owing to the efficiency of the investigations and treatment applied.
