Dynamics of protein modifications in the skeletal muscle following formol injection
Abstract:
The concentrated formol injections in the skeletal muscle of rat induce the appearance of histological modifications of the destructive type, followed after a period of time by modifications of the restoring-regenerative type. The histochemical reactions for the demonstration of proteins undergo significant alterations during these processes. In a first stage the reactions are negative while during the restoration stage -- together with the appearance of myoblasts sarcoblasts and muscular buds -- they become intensely positive, as an expression of protein synthesis intensification.
