Summary

Cathepsin D (CathD) is present in normal and hyperplastic endometrium, varying with the menstrual cycle. Highest expression occurred in late secretory phase and hyperplasia, with significantly lower levels in endometrial adenocarcinoma, suggesting potential roles in malignant transformation.
