Abstract:
The authors report the first case in the literature of a chronic injury of the medial scaphotrapezial ligament. The main clinical feature was elective pain over the lateral margin of the carpal tunnel which was increased with effort. The pain was disabling and complete remission is obtained after surgical repair of the ligament.
