Abstract:
Mice allowed to run in a revolving-drum activity cage are sensitive indicators of air pollution. They respond to the presence of synthetic smog by diminishing their 24-hour activity in the revolving wheels. The redLIction in wheel activity is comparatively greater for larger amounts of smog.
