[Rehabilitation in France: a comparison with the Federal Republic of Germany (author's transl)]

The purpose of the following article is to present the rehabilitation efforts in France. It describes legal provisions, especially the French Rehabilitation Act of 1975, the "Loi d'orientation", with some of its most important rules of application, as well as some concrete individual measures. It describes approaches which differ from those in the Federal Republic of Germany. The article focuses particularly on the activities of the voluntary organisations and the efforts towards a barrier-free architecture.
