[Aneurysm of the renal artery mimicking a cyst]

Renal artery aneurysms are not frequent, insidious clinico-pathological entities. They are often asymptomatic and cannot be readily differentiated from renal cysts on routine US. The Author presents a case with fatal outcome and stresses the need of Doppler testing before cyst puncture for diagnostic or therapeutic purpose.
