Abstract:
A case of a calcaneal avulsion fracture from a relatively minor traumatic incident is presented. The mechanism of calcaneal avulsion fractures is discussed. Special attention is given to the possibility of a pathologic fracture. The literature is reviewed and treatment is discussed.
