[City guides for the disabled - an interim balance (author's transl)]

The following article wants to bring city guides for the disabled into focus, which appeared in rapid succession in the Federal Republic of Germany since 1971. After reflecting about the purpose and effect of city guides upon the consumer, city planners, and the wider public the author surveys hitherto published guides. Based on his own essential contribution to the making of the guide to the city of Ludwigshafen the author retraces the various stages of conception.
