Abstract:
The psychometric evaluations in 60 cases of Down's syndrome non-institutionalized children in the age group 1-15 years drawn after random selection was compared with 60 children with mental handicap from a residential institution drawn by matching for age, sex and sociocultural conditions. Results of the study show significant difference between the two groups in respect to IQ's but not in respect to DQ's.
