It seems that one-fourth of today's medical residents would choose another field if they had their education to do over again. Why the disillusionment with medicine? This article discusses the reasons and offers guidelines for recruiting young physicians who approach employment with uncertainty, skepticism and priorities that differ from those of the previous generation.
