Abstract:
Menopausal women present many challenges to the health care provider. The practitioner must be skilled in treating urinary tract infections (UTIs) and assessing the urogenital tract. Multiple factors should be considered even in the absence of certain disease processes such as diabetes or hypertension. A case study of a postmenopausal, diabetic woman is presented. Assessment and treatment interventions are discussed.
