Synergistic effects in multicomponent electrocatalysts: the Pb-Ir-O system

This study developed a new method for creating iridium-based catalytic surfaces using lead and iridium compounds. The resulting lead-iridium oxide (PbIrOx) films show enhanced catalytic activity for carbohydrate electrooxidation.
