Summary

Pulmonary inflammatory pseudotumors are rare lung lesions. Surgical resection offers a good outcome for these challenging cases, providing a definitive diagnosis and treatment.

Background:

  • Inflammatory pseudotumors (IPT) are uncommon, benign-appearing lesions that can occur in the lung parenchyma.

Observation:

  • This study reports on four cases of pulmonary inflammatory pseudotumor.
  • Patients presented with varied clinical symptoms, and half were diagnosed incidentally.
  • The lesions were located within the lung parenchyma.

Findings:

  • All four cases were treated with surgical resection via thoracotomy or video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS).
