Summary

This study investigated hemispheric dominance for attention, finding no support for right hemisphere dominance in adults or developmental differences. Foreperiod and hand effects were observed in attention tasks.

Background:

  • A right hemispheric mechanism for bilateral attention was hypothesized by Heilman and Valenstein (1979).
