- In women, uncontrolled DBP is further associated with multiple cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk factors characteristic of the metabolic syndrome.
- Patients presenting with uncontrolled DBP warrant thorough evaluation for underlying metabolic disorders to guide effective management strategies.
