Abstract:
(1) Phaeochromocytoma is a benign or malignant tumour that stores and produces catecholamines (adrenaline and noradrenaline, and their metabolites metanephrine and normetanephrine). (2) Phaeochromocytoma can be unmasked by some drugs. (3) Metoclopramide and other neuroleptics are most often implicated. Other drugs include antidepressants (such as selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, monoamine oxidase inhibitors, and imipramine), betablockers, opioids, and curare.
