Increased sensitivity of guinea pig gallbladder in vitro to bradykinin
Abstract:
Bradykinin evoked concentration dependent contractions of guinea pig gallbladder smooth muscle strips in vitro. Responses to kinins increase over three hours of incubation. Induction of a B1-mediated action, waning activity of endogenous kininase(s) and involvement of eicosanoids as mediators have been investigated as potential contributing mechanisms to the four-fold, time dependent increase in response of this tissue to bradykinin.
