Experimental autoimmune labyrinthitis in guinea pigs shows hearing impairment and inner ear inflammation after antigen exposure. While some animals experience spontaneous remission, complete hearing recovery is not always achieved.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To investigate the time course of hearing impairment and cellular infiltration in the inner ear following experimental autoimmune labyrinthitis induction.
  • To determine if spontaneous remission occurs and assess the extent of hearing recovery.
