Abstract:
Sodium cromoglycate is the drug of choice in the preventive treatment of bronchial asthma. Its only undesirable effect is the tussigenic irritation of the respiratory pathways which may lead to termination of its administration. The author analyzes the causes and submits proposals for their solution.
