Abstract:
The paper reviews the last publications on the etiology and pathogenesis of abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAA), analyses different risk factors and possible pathological mechanisms related to the process of aortic aneurysmal dilatation. The authors conclude that AAA results from the combination of different factors whose special impact can vary in every case.
