Spontaneous remission of cancer: an example of health promotion

Spontaneous remission provides an example of health promotion: that of the body/mind/spirit maximizing its potential and showing, not only the disappearance or lessening of pathology, but also the healing capabilities of the individual. This brief overview of a grounded theory research study summarizes nine healees' experiences with a diagnosis of cancer and their subsequent remissions.
