Abstract:
In the last decade magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS) has become an important tool to study CNS. In this paper authors present the basic principles of phosphorus and proton MRS and describe the results reported in schizophrenia. Studies indicate changes in membrane and cellular metabolism in CNS and are contribution in understanding neurochemical pathology of this disorder.
