[An update on surgical laparoscopy]

Abstract:
It is reported a 15-year research experience in the laparoscopic field. General and emergency surgery have been improved by new methods. Further scientific innovations, such as video-laparoscopes, fibrin glues, instruments for the performance of hemostasis, led to carry out real surgical operations, so that laparoscopy may be considered as an alternative method compared with traditional surgery.
