Determining Immune System Suppression versus CNS Protection for Pharmacological Interventions in Autoimmune Demyelination

[Immunosuppressive therapy in multiple sclerosis]
Results of the examination of more than 51 patients with multiple sclerosis and 20 patients of the control group are presented in this article. It is shown that therapy with immunosuppressive medicines (metilprednisolon, dexametason and synakten-depo) is effective as treatment of patients with multiple sclerosis at the stage of exacerbation, making positive effect on the dynamics of the neurological symptoms and immunal indices. The best results were observed among the patients of II and III level of gravity with mainly remitting type of multiple sclerosis. In the comparative aspect pulse-therapy with metilprednisolon was the most effective.
