Background:

Conventional rhinoplasty can negatively impact nasal breathing.
There is a need for rhinoplasty techniques that address both aesthetic and functional concerns.

Purpose of the Study:

To describe a "functional and esthetic" rhinoplasty technique.
To preserve nasal vault structure and avoid adverse effects on nasal ventilation.

Main Methods:

A conservative rhinoplasty technique focusing on preserving nasal vault structure.
Concurrent turbinoplasty performed when necessary for septo-turbinal abnormalities or narrow nasal fossae.

Main Results:

Over 1000 cases across 15 years show prevention of most functional complications.
The technique often improves nasal ventilation and provides excellent cosmetic outcomes.
Fewer tip revisions were noted with this conservative approach.

Conclusions:

The described functional and esthetic rhinoplasty technique effectively balances aesthetic improvement with preservation of nasal function.
