Summary

Human T-lymphotropic virus type I (HTLV-I) can cause extranodal lymphomas. This study highlights 12 cases of HTLV-I-associated extranodal T-cell lymphoma, suggesting this entity may be more common than previously recognized.

Background:

  • Human T-lymphotropic virus type I (HTLV-I) is known to induce both nodal and extranodal lymphomas.
