Summary

Occult sarcoidosis can present primarily as optic nerve disease, causing progressive vision loss. This case highlights the importance of considering sarcoidosis in optic nerve lesions for accurate diagnosis and treatment.

  • Optic nerve decompression was performed as part of the management.

Implications:

  • Sarcoidosis should be included in the differential diagnosis for optic nerve pathologies.
  • Early recognition of sarcoidosis can improve visual prognosis.
