Abstract:
Chordoid meningioma is an uncommon histopathological variant of meningioma. We report 2 cases of chordoid meningioma occurring in adult patients.
Insights
Chordoid meningioma, a rare meningioma subtype, is detailed in this report. Two adult cases highlight this uncommon histopathological variant, offering insights into its occurrence.
Area of Science:
- Neuropathology
- Oncology
Background:
- Meningiomas are tumors arising from the meninges.
- Chordoid meningioma is a rare histopathological subtype with distinct features.
Observation:
- This report presents two cases of chordoid meningioma in adult patients.
- Clinical and pathological details of these cases are documented.
Findings:
- Chordoid meningiomas exhibit specific histological characteristics.
- The occurrence in adult patients is consistent with general meningioma demographics.
Implications:
- Understanding chordoid meningioma aids in accurate diagnosis and classification.
- Further research may elucidate the specific behavior and treatment of this variant.
