Abstract:
The author points out the changes occurred in the axis hypothalamus/hypofysis/thyroid during normal pregnancy. They mention fetus thyroid development different stages, as well as the thyroid hormone secretion through the fetus. They also give special attention to those pregnancies and its special features occurring in places where the amount of iodine isn't enough and how treatment must be carried out.
