Transforming growth factor-beta inhibits human T-cell proliferation through multiple targets

Transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-beta) inhibits human T-lymphocyte proliferation by blocking DNA synthesis and cell surface receptor expression. TGF-beta also impairs clathrin assembly, impacting T-cell response pathways.
