Summary

Hodgkin's disease cell lines, particularly L428, show similarities to dendritic cells (DC) and potently stimulate T lymphocytes independently of interleukin-1 (IL-1). These cell lines offer a reproducible model for studying mixed leucocyte reactions (MLR).
