Tissue HHV6 and 7 determination in pediatric solid organ recipients--a pilot study

Human herpesvirus 6 (HHV6) and 7 tissue infections are significant in organ transplant patients. High viral loads were found in ill transplant recipients and in native kidneys post-infection, suggesting a role in transplant pathology.
