Purpose of the Study:

  • To investigate the association between hormonal changes (pregnancy, menopause) and adult brain tumor development.
  • Analyzed data from a population-based case-control study of female brain tumor patients in Germany.

  • A case-control study included 127 women with brain tumors (meningiomas, gliomas, acoustic neuromas) and 233 controls.
  • Data on parity, menopausal status, and gynecologic surgeries were collected via questionnaire.
  • Logistic regression analysis was used to compare case patients and control subjects.
