[Efficacy of anti-Helicobacter therapy in children with ulcer-like functional dyspepsia]
Insights
Triple therapy effectively treated Helicobacter pylori-associated ulcer-like dyspepsia in children. This approach using a Proton Pump Inhibitor (omeprazole) and two antibiotics demonstrated significant success in eradication.
Area of Science:
- Pediatric Gastroenterology
- Infectious Diseases
- Pharmacology
Background:
- Ulcer-like dyspepsia in children is often linked to Helicobacter pylori infection.
- Effective eradication strategies are crucial for managing pediatric dyspepsia.
Purpose of the Study:
- To evaluate the effectiveness of a specific triple therapy regimen for H. pylori-associated ulcer-like dyspepsia in children.
Main Methods:
- A study involving 69 children diagnosed with H. pylori-associated ulcer-like dyspepsia.
- Treatment involved a triple therapy regimen: Proton Pump Inhibitor (omeprazole), amoxicillin, and clarithromycin.
Main Results:
- The triple therapy demonstrated high effectiveness in eradicating Helicobacter pylori.
- Successful treatment outcomes were observed in children receiving this regimen.
Conclusions:
- The eradicating triple therapy is a highly effective treatment for children with H. pylori-associated ulcer-like dyspepsia.
- This therapeutic approach offers a promising solution for pediatric patients.
Abstract:
The article presents new results of treatment of 69 children with ulcer-like dyspepsia, associated with Helicobacter pylori. Triple therapy included Proton Pomp Inhibitor (PPI-omeprasol) and two antibiotics (amoxicilline and claritromicine). The obtained results have shown good effectiveness of the eradicating triple therapy in children with Helicobacter pylori-associated ulcer-like dyspepsia.
