[The design for 3-D geometry and finite element models of the dental tissue and the prostheses]

Objective:
To establish the system of the models and the element libraries for prosthodontics.
Methods:
Taking jaws and dentition as sample, with the help of the CT scanning and software, such as PRO/E, ANSYS,etc established the 3-D geometry and finite element models. At first, and then, established several kinds of library of the dentition and dentures. At last we discussed the application way of these models and element libraries.
Results:
Established the 3-D models and element libraries of jaws, dentition and prostheses.
Conclusion:
The 3-D models have favorite similarities in geometry and mechanics. The study verified these element libraries are effective and can be used conveniently.
