Garlic metabolites diallyldisulfide (DADS) and allylmercaptane (AM) do not inhibit NF-kappaB activation or E-selectin expression in endothelial cells. This suggests NF-kappaB is not a primary target for these garlic compounds in preventing atherosclerosis.
