  • Repeated ultrasonography confirmed complete dissolution of the cholesterol gallstone.

Implications:

  • Pravastatin demonstrates potential as a nonsurgical therapeutic agent for cholesterol gallstone disease.
  • This approach is particularly relevant for patients with coexisting hypercholesterolemia requiring HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor therapy.
