[Role of thyroid hormones in regulation of heart function]
Abstract:
Current data on mechanisms of action of thyroid hormones--T3 and T4--on molecular, cellular and organic organs obtained in experimental and clinical conditions are reviewed. The results of examination of patients with hypo- and hyperthyroidism as well as some clinical syndromes (heart arrhythmia, heart failure) have shown physiological and pathophysiological participation of thyroid hormones in regulation of cardiac activity at the level of hemodynamics and myocardial metabolism.
