Equine chorionic gonadotropin (eCG) treatment in heifers increased progesterone levels but did not improve embryo transfer pregnancy rates. Higher eCG doses correlated with decreased conception rates, suggesting potential negative impacts.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To investigate the effect of varying doses of eCG on accessory corpus luteum (CL) induction, progesterone levels, and pregnancy rates in cross-bred heifers undergoing embryo transfer.
