Abstract:
Advanced hepatic tumours which can't be treated by either surgically or by percutaneous thermoablation can be cured by intraarterial chemoperfusion, chemoembolization or occlusion of the feeding artery. Occasionally the combination of these methods results in a better and loneer life.

Intravenous regional anesthesia or the Bier block technique is used to anesthetize a specific limb or extremity. It uses exsanguinated or blood-drained vessels to transport local anesthetics or LAs to the peripheral nerve trunks.
