[Combined intervention for locally advanced distal gastric cancer]

The results of combined distal gastric resection, performed in 53 patients for locally advanced distal gastric cancer (T 4), were analyzed. Application of the distal gastric resection methods elaborated in clinic allows to expand indications to performance of combined radical and palliative interventions at the expense of their reliability, possibility of conduction of postoperative endolymphatic, intraarterial or systemic polychemotherapy. Thorough correction of concurrent diseases, improvement of surgical technique of combined interventions constitute the main way of the postoperative lethality lowering.
