Background:

Tracheobronchomalacia (TBM) is a condition affecting the airways.
Understanding TBM's distinct characteristics in pediatric versus adult populations is crucial for effective management.

Purpose of the Study:

To investigate the differences in tracheobronchomalacia between children and adults.
To identify objective operative indications for TBM.

Main Methods:

Retrospective review of 7 patients (3 children, 4 adults) with tracheobronchomalacia.
Analysis of clinical presentation, flow-volume curves, and airway pressure measurements.

Main Results:

Pediatric TBM showed localized lesions with spontaneous healing via cartilage development.
